I’ve eased off the wind, basically because I’m tired of pounding into the wind, now about 80 degrees off. Easy, delightful going for a change with the wind down to 15 knots and me in no hurry to shake out a reef or two. Now at 22 degrees South near the Tropic of Capricorn, I detect a slight cooling/drying trend today which is very welcome. Squalls are way down from the last few weeks. Looks like I will have another day or so of this, then winds go lighter for a day, then fill in from the North, then NW as the SE Pacific high sets up for Sparrow. Hopefully good going for a while!!!

Your mental strength is impressive. I now understand there is more to solo sailing than “sailing” know how. Forgive me from stating the obvious but I only started sailing in my seventies! 🙃🇭🇲
